Tone Factory described the music as being bland anf generic, while some other magazines were ecstatic about the release. Frontman Infant, also known for his solo work in the techno scene, stated that the Lost Cosmonauts wanted to focus less on drum patterns, and more on lyrical content, melodic structure and the over-al atmosphere of songs. The clean-sounding production and swift hooks of the album have been attributed to the synthesizer-playing skill of Infant.
