| - Nella saga fantasy La Ruota del Tempo dello scrittore statunitense Robert Jordan, Rahvin è uno dei Reietti (che si definiscono tra di loro come i Prescelti), è cioè uno dei campioni dell’Ombra, nemici del Drago Rinato e degli altri campioni della Luce. Il suo nome è stato ispirato dal demone Ravana presente nella mitologia Indù. È un uomo alto, scuro di carnagione e di bell’aspetto, con i capelli leggermente brizzolati sopra le orecchie.
- At the beginning of The Fires of Heaven, Rahvin is in a palace(not yet established as the Royal Palace of Andor in Caemlyn). He subverts with Compulsion the Red Aes Sedai they set to spy there. Lanfear brings Graendal and Sammael for a conference, on the possibility of bringing Rand to kneel to the Great Lord of The Dark. Asmodean knows that he has a queen as his pet, but doesn't know which one. In FOH 6, after Rahvin has sent Darkhounds to try to kill Rand and Mat, Lanfear tells Rand that Rahvin is in Caemlyn with Morgase.
- Rahvin is one of the Forsaken.
- Rahvin is an assasin who is in a party of six. The player encounters Rahvin for the only time in the Undercity. Rahvin says that he and his party are also going after Sarevok and they were told to by the Iron Throne leaders. When he sees you he decides that he also wants to kill you so he can get the full bounty reward. He is a tough opponent as he uses arrows of detonation. The rest of his party are:
* Haseo
* Wudei
* Carston
* Shaldrissa
* Gorf (an ogre)
- Rahvin was said to be as handsome as Lanfear was beautiful, with an insatiable appetite for the company of beautiful women. He had black hair, which was white at the temples. He was dark of complexion, with nearly black eyes. He was also noted for having a remarkably large stature; taller than Rand al'Thor, according to Mat, but with broader shoulders and a deeper chest.

Het enige wat van Rahvin bekend is, is dat hij in de Eeuw der Legenden Ared Mossinel heette. Nadat de Duistere uibrak, dook Mossinel ineens als een van de hoogste raadgevers van de Duistere op. De motivatie van Mossinel om naar de Duistere over te lopen was gebaseerd op macht. Mossinel was daarnaast een persoon die bedreven was in de politiek en de diplomatie. Hij boog weerstand van wil en geest makkelijk om door omzichtig gebruik te maken van wilsdwang.
