- The Audacious is a mid-aged Corona-class Frigate that previously served as the flaship of Captain Cyprien Taillefer for the task force of the same name. Unlike most New Republic warships, the Corona originally did not sport Republic specific starfighters, and instead made due with older T-wings and R-41s just taken out of mothballing because of its low priority use as a pirate hunting vessel. Early in 17 ABY, the Audacious was known to be actively hunting down pirates and other criminal groups in the Tarabba Sector and its surrounding space. Its operations were known to have significantly weakened the Void Knight's pirate group, culminating with the seizure of an affiliated outlaw tech base at Vespin VII and the exile of the remaing Void Knights. The Audacious was also responsible for starting the tracking process on the Blood Terror pirate group and seizing several supply caches in the area. After aiding Task Force Retribution in the destruction of the Razor's Renegades, the frigate went to Arcanix and served as the warship base for NRI operations analyzing the Cult of Shadow's technology. Shortly thereafter, the Audacious returned to Vespin VII and was the only warship to remain part of the task force during its reorganization. During its reorganization, the frigate's outdated fighters were replaced with B-wings, and the fighter wing was collectively organized into the Storm assault wing. Cyprien Taillefer, newly promoted to line captain, transferred his flag over to the Firebrand, and Daleb Greggs, previously captain of the Assassin-class Templar, took over as the captain of the vessel.
