Charles Richard White (c.1825 - 20 November 1889) was an auctioneer and educationist. A resident of Kennington Cross, he offered himself for election as a Church of England candidate for the Lambeth Division when the first London School Board elections were held in 1870. He failed to win a seat. Six years later he again contested Lambeth, on this occasion as a "Vestry" candidate. He was again unsuccessful. He died in Clapham in 1889, aged 64.

On his third attempt he was elected to the school board as an "Independent Ratepayer" in 1879, and was re-elected in 1882. At the 1885 school board elections the Lambeth Division was divided into two parts: East and West. White stood in the West Division, but failed to hold his seat. He died in Clapham in 1889, aged 64.
