Matsu Hirobumi was a bushi of the Lion Clan. She was passionate, brash, honorable, and deadly. Her scars proved Hirobumi had been fighting much of her life, always ready at the battlefield. In 1159 she had been assigned as commander of the Lion forces garrisoned at Tonfajutsen, prepared to defend the area against the Tsuno threat. Hirobumi was reassigned to this post after assaulting a young but higher ranked Akodo, accusing him of cowardice. Her accusation was well founded, but Matsu Ketsui herself stepped in to halt the inevitable duel.
