The highway began contruction in Spring of 2014 in the Union of Everett state of Labrador, utilizing a floating undersea tunnel system spanning from the coast of northern Labrador, across nearly 700 miles to the Greenland capital city of Nuuk. A highway route would then cross Greenland and continue via undersea floating tunnel another 700 miles into Reykjavik, Iceland, Baltic Union. A second small highway and rail route would cross Iceland and again enter into a floating undersea tunnel, spanning 400 miles into the Faroe Islands north of the United Kingdom and the route would split. One route would continue east into Bergen, Norway, Baltic Union, the other south into Glasgow, United Kingdom. The route would continue construction for nearly eight years, laying one mile per day of tunnel sections and completing construction in 2023. The Trans-Atlantic Highway Tunnel would mark as the first of a series of inter-continental highway connections, connecting all six inhabited continents of Earth via motor vehicle highway, rail line, tunnels and bridges. The tunnel opens up ten lines of high speed rail services between Europe and North America, allowing transport of goods via rail in less than six hours time. Highway motor vehicle routes would feature wide lanes for road-train tractor trailer rig trucks to transport cargo via motor vehicle taking nearly one week to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
