After a drive that seemed like entire parsecs had gone by, Lord Starkiller and his squad had found the crashed pod they were looking for. The twin suns gleamed against the metal as they fell under the horizon, painting the sky in a redish-purple color. Next to the mainly intact pod, he found two sets of prints, but they were not human. One set had the prints in a human-like shape, but the were realativly close together and had some signs of dragging sideways inward, as if it was walking in bantha-like pattern, but with only two feet and a leaner structure. The other set were treads, three of them, with the middle one having a slightly deeper indentation.

  • After a drive that seemed like entire parsecs had gone by, Lord Starkiller and his squad had found the crashed pod they were looking for. Turning to his squad he ordered, "Search the pod." Without a word the troopers dismounted from their speeders and searched through the pod. Deciding to take advantage of the brief moment of semi-peace, he dismounted from his speeder and sat cross-legged on the sand and began to meditate. He was trying to locate the source of the disturbance that he had felt on his decent to the planet. His meditation was short-lived however, for before he realized it the stormtroopers had finished the job. "The documents are not here sir." Irriatated, the apprentice replied, "Follow the tracks then, the schematics must be with them." Turning away, the apprentice walked toward his speeder and hoisted his leg up and over the cockpit. But before the apprentice hit the throttle the trooper asked, "Sir, where are you going?" The apprentice puzzled for a moment how he could explain it to a single-minded clone, but with a grin on his face that was not visible to anyone, he remembered he didn't have to. "That is not your concern private, just follow out my command." "Yes sir." And with that the apprentice hit the accelerator and disappeared into the horizon. The pulse in the Force was becoming stronger, whatever was happening, he was now certain it had something to do with the schematics. He had left the sand dunes and went into a rocky ravine. He could not stop, not when he was so close to his goal. The ravine was slowly becoming more trecherous. As he moved farther into the ravine there were more turns that he barely turned, more fallen rocks that he nearly avoided, and more pits that he barely manuivered. The twin suns of Tatooine were just sinking under the horizon when he decided it would be foolish if he did not stop. Grumbling to himself he said, "Damn Rebels couldn't even spare me a set of night-vision goggles with my helmet." That's when something caught his eye, a small piece of torn fabric. Picking it up with his clawed hands, he took notice of the "big picture" as one of the Imperial Marine captains said on a previous and unrelated mission. The rock ground had been smashed in several places by a blunt instrument. A struggle had taken place here. Turning the fabric around, he saw blood on it. Touching it with his finger he realized it was fresh. Well, this is as good of a spot as anywhere, he said as he sat down on the ground cross-legged, meditating. The apprentice had not fell asleep through the entire night. Although his eyes did close and he did lose control of his body, 'sleep' would not be an accurate word to describe what happened. He was in a deep meditation, simply letting go of his physical self and growing closer to the Force. Almost as if his soul just flew away for a while, then came back to him at the break of dawn on the horizon. When he 'awoke', his body was in the same position that he sat down in, cross-legged. Feeling inclined to do so, he hopped back on the speeder bike sped off to continue towards his objective.
