| - The general history of Phoenixus starts several centuries prior to what will be described elsewhere in this project. The people of Phoenixus, called Phoenicians[1] as a collective, originated in the eastern lands of the eastern continent, evolving from other species around 150,000 years prior to the present. These people and their societies were isolated for many years, and eventually the people began to disperse across the continent. The first 'nation' of sorts was created in the year 450 BT[2] along the eastern coast of the continent. These people used what they called the river of the sun, known today as the River Sol, to trade with other people forming their own 'nations' further inland.

In the year 225 BT, these societies federated into the Sun Nation. Following this federation in 223 BT, a large amount of the population vacated this nation to the north, forming early Northhall, known at that time as the Nords (northerners). These people were very adept at surviving in colder, northern climates. The nation of the nords, the second 'nation' was formed on the Cross Peninsula, a large temperate jut of land in the north. Eventually, both societies grew to have influence over a considerable amount of territory along the eastern coasts. Wanting more land, the Sun Nation began to expand westward, into the wet, humid hills of the central foothills, and the Great Southern Plains. Along with this expansion came people migrating south and west of the Sun Nation, forming minor states. By 15 BT, there were 13 'nations' in Phoenixus. No-one had crossed the central mountains. In the 45 years of Tim, a being believed to hold ultimate dominion over the universe appeared. In legendary documents, it is told that Tim appeared in a potato field in the near-north, within the Sun Nation. Given this, he became known as the 'Potato God'. Tim was discovered by the farmers, of whom were blessed with something that legend says they cannot describe. Rumours spread across the inhabited world like wildfire, prompting the governments of the nations to offer their thrones to 'his supremacy'. He welcomed these offers, and took control over the Sun Nation, after only 2 years of his presence. Over the next 40 years, he held influence over the entire southern land, and the people worshiped him as a god. Prosperity was brought to the nation over the course of his reign, and on the 42nd year, Tim was nowhere to be found. Messengers from the Nords told the southern folk that they had taken Tim, far into the north.
