Egon invents a robot named Ecto-X, that is programmed to help the Ghostbusters bust ghosts. Unfortunately, Ecto-X starts to overshadow the Ghostbusters due to being more efficient. Eventually, Ecto-X is possessed by a Computergeist and the demon uses Ecto-X to trap the Ghostbusters and then goes to the Firehouse to free his brothers and sisters from the Containment Unit. Fortunately, Slimer rescues the Ghostbusters and they trap the ghost. Ecto-X is then remodeled into Ecto-Maid, who is programmed to give the Ghostbusters snacks.
