Portin was one of the Cavrilhu Pirates under the command of the pirate leader Zothip. Portin, Zothip, and several other pirates including Crans, Grinner, and Control, sneaked into Moff Disra's quarters on the Imperial Capital of Bastion. Portin didn't realize that they were being followed by the Mystryl Shadow Guard known as Karoly D'ulin. Once inside, Karoly killed Zothip. After Zothip's death, Control took over as the head of the Cavrilhu Pirates.
