April's Diary Obtained From: Location: Appearance: April Ryan has kept a diary since she was five. She started her current one in the month of April, and keeps it up to date throughout the events of The Longest Journey. It provides a helpful guide for the player as it often serves to draw attention to important events. April also uses it to keep track of the information she is given, as well as her opinion on what is happening and musings about what to do next. The player learns a great deal about April's state of mind and attitude to what she encounters.

However, the diary does raise questions as well: April writes about a "CRAZY day at the pond" before she arrived in Newport, but we never find out what she is referring to. She also writes that she has a tendency to fall in love with the wrong people, "like now, like with -" without explaining who she means. Obtained from the bedside table in April's room at the Border House.
