Ford Rainey often portrayed men of importance. He appeared as President Abraham Lincoln in the NBC Sunday Showcase "Our American Heritage: Shadow of a Soldier" (1960), in an episode of The Time Tunnel (1966), in the mini-series Captains and Kings (1976), and in the television movie Guardian of the Wilderness (1976). In addition to the aforementioned portrayal of Lincoln on The Time Tunnel, Rainey portrayed ficticous presidents in two other Irwin Allen series - the pilot for Lost in Space as well as episodes of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Ford Rainey and Lee Majors appeared together in the episode Heritage (1965) of The Big Valley.
