Khamûl ordered Azog II to bring an army of Goblins and make a battle against Mirkwood, causing the second Battle for Mirkwood. Azog II was slain by Thranduil at the doors of the Fortress but the Goblin Army was still very strong, the battle was bloody and many elves were slain by the Ruthless Goblins. However Azog II commited an error when he was marching to the Kingdom, many elven villages were intact and in the end of the battle, Elven farmers, villagers, rangers arrived with great iron swords and with the help of the Wood Elves the Goblin Army was crushed.
