She killed about 94, 000 people and billions of dollars in damage. Storm surge in Alabama reached up to 59 feet, killing 11,500 in Alabama alone. Hurricane Alexandria became the costliest hurricane ever. The damage reached up to $986 billion dollars, and she became the deadliest storm in the North Atlantic Basin ever, the death toll was 93,978 direct and 39,786 inidrect fatalities. Overall death toll was 133, 764 deaths. And became the worldwide record for costliest tropical cyclone in history.
