About: Ninli   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : dbkwik.org associated with source dataset(s)

Ninli is a language spoken by 5,892,410,000,000 inhabitants of Tetro. It is classified as a visual language, with an alphabet based on the spectrum of visible light. It originated among magnetates as a means of communication over great distances. To communicate in Ninli, an organism must be able to emit light at will in precise wavelengths for very short periods of time. As magnetates are the only bioluminescent class of organism on Tetro, other species are unable to "speak" Ninli without the use of a translator device, although most can understand it quite easily once they have taken some time to learn the grammar and vocabulary.
