Its not a spice but a variously used mixture of nuts and spices. Also known as 'Dukka', it is made by carefully roasting the pistachios and almonds, coriander seeds,sesame seeds, cumin seeds and dried thyme separately and then grindinging to dry powder. It is used singly to garnish salads and pasta dishes or together with olive oil on pitas and other breads, meat, seafood etc., before baking/ grilling. Some take as an accompaniment to bread - diping bread first in olive oil and then in Du'a.
