The First Battle of Bir'tedor took place 17 days after war was declared between the Ni'novian Empire and the Galactic Alliance. The Alliance sent a fleet to assault the planet in response to a Sith invasion of the planet Peraxios. However, there invasion failed when Kracor and the Sith Navy entered the battle to reinforce the planet in its defense. The battle resulted in over 13 million deaths, the destruction of the shipyard, the bombardment of the several of the large cities, the pillaging of the Capital Palace, and the capture of over two hundred high ranking officials, including Kracor's wife, Empress Merdila. Most notably though, General Curias was killed in the bombardment.
