Although aware that Stinkwart Plague was wiped out “years ago”, Bootweeze refers to Regulation ID Sub-Section Ten, which requires that any contaminated facility – in this case – the Legion Headquarters – be examined and decontaminated. This was an expensive process that resulted in the Legion billed for two hundred million credits, thus placing them grossly over budget – a high price to pay for twenty minutes’ peace and quiet, although the administrative and extortion skills of M’Rissey eventually had the charges waived.
