The Royal Trust (Euphran:De Koninklijke Schenking) was established in 1896, when the Euphran King ceded all his private assets to a foundation that would manage the properties and assets collectively. The King donated his properties, such as lands, castles, palaces, and buildings to the foundation. The foundation was accepted by the Euphran Government on 1 January 1880, but the speculations were that the properties would never be sold, they would have to retain their function and appearance, and they would remain at the disposal of the successors to the Euphran throne.
