The World is devoloping technology at a rapid pace. It seems that new inventions are made every day. Well, what would happen if international politics once again got in the way but this time prevented large gains in the form of technology. The idea is that because of constant war and revolutions across the world that most scientists are forced to work on weapons. This prevents any gains in other areas, and leads to an era where technology stagnates and warfare is part of everyday life. It begins in 2013 when Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz after a year of threats, resolutions, jumping oil prices, and starvation in some countries (price of gas was so sky high that the price of everything else went up with it). After an American invasion of Iran, muslum uprisings force the US out for good.
