William George Lemon (1831-26 June 1897) was a barrister and local politician. Born in Marylebone, he was the second son of James Lemon of Piccadilly. He studied at the University of London, graduating BA in 1853 and becoming a member of the university's convocation. He subsequently studied law and was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn on 6 June 1866, having also received a Bachelor of Laws degree in the same year.

He subsequently studied law and was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn on 6 June 1866, having also received a Bachelor of Laws degree in the same year. He settled in Blackheath, where he was a prominent member of the Congregational Church. He became involved in local government as a member of Lewisham District Board of Works. He was also encouraged to stand at the London School Board election, 1885 but declined. When the first election to the London County Council was held in 1889 he was elected as a Progressive Party councillor representing Lewisham. Re-elected in 1892, he stood down at the 1895 election.
