As a young man forced to fight in the conflicts that took place on the archipelago of Arcadia during the Heartstone Crisis, he played a direct part in the demise of the Archangel Netheriel and his plans to destroy all life on Esria. He came to cross paths with the orphan Jaeryn during his travels in Eliya. Although incredibly opposed to the idea, he eventually allowed her to follow by his side after learning of her identity and her intention to fulfil his quest whether he would allow it or not.
