A Hagun Shaft was a mystical artifact employed by immortal beings, such as demons, to commit suicide; the Shaft design was intended to allow the immortal to look regal and important when they were dying. As part of Team Angel's plot to eliminate the Demon Lords of Los Angeles, the treacherous Bro'os supplied his fellow Lords with several Hagun Shafts- Angel reasoning that he was the Lord most likely to sell the others out as his career was fundamentally based on a poor joke-, which the Lords planned on using to kill Angel, having been told that the Shafts were weapons rather than the suicide tools they were in reality. However, when they activated the Shafts, these exploded, killing the Lords in the process. Only Bro'os survived, as he dropped the one he carried.
