Lawrence William Simpson Rostron (20 June 1872 - 14 May 1916) was a barrister. Born in Beddington, he was the son of Simpson Rostron a barrister and his wife Christina Jane. He was educated at Winchester College and New College, Oxford. A member of the Worshipful Company of Merchant Taylors, he became a Freeman of the City of London in 1900 and was made a Warden of the Merchant Taylors Company in 1912.

He was elected to the London County Council in 1910 as a Municipal Reform Party councillor representing Finsbury Central, and was re-elected for a second three year term in 1913. He retired from the council due to ill health shortly before his death.
