Dr Robert Milne Beaton (c.1854 -21 July 1925) was a physician and local politician. He received his medical education at Aberdeen and Guy's Hospital, graduating in 1883. He held senior posts in the British Medical Association from 1912-16. Involved in local politics as a member of the Liberal-aligned Progressive Party, sitting as a member of St Pancras Borough Council from 1903–06 and representing St Pancras North on the London County Council from 1904-10. When the Metropolitan Water Board was formed in 1903 he was the first chairman of the board's Water Examination Committee.
